Appointments

We like to offer personal care and would encourage you to see the same Doctor each time. However with many issues you may be helped quicker by other members of staff or a different service.

If you want to help quickly, there are a few questions you need to ask yourself before you book an appointment with doctor.
The Patient co-ordinators may ask your questions to help you get the best treatment quicker. They are bound by the same confidentiality as the doctors.

Can I treat the condition myself or through a pharmacist?

Now all the knowledge is at you finger tips. It’s worth reading about your symptoms on the NHS website or Patient.info. They provide great information which we can vouch for! You can often treat yourself as well as a doctor today rather than waiting to be seen.

Can I go straight to a specialist service?

There is now increasing availability of direct access to more specialised care through the NHS without seeing a doctor. Click here to see if you can go straight to a specialist (for example a physio or a psychologist).

Is it really a clinical issue?

Many problems, like getting hold of a medicine you already use or a letter, are quicker dealt with through our website or our Patient co-coordinators.

Do I need to see the doctor?

The clinical staff is one team. Our Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Pharmacists and Healthcare Assistant provide a mix skills that complement and often the exceed that of a doctor. We have inserted a tool here to help you understand who does what.
Find out who is the right person to see. (There’s nothing so frustrating coming to see the wrong person!)

When can I see the doctor?

If timing is difficult you may organise a call. If you ask reception they can organise an appointment at the weekend with one of our partner practices.
We offer routine telephone consultations with doctors or nurses, these can be booked via our reception team. We ask that you ensure you are available at their allotted time to take the call. Messages will not be left on answer machines in order to maintain confidentiality.
There are occasions when a doctor may be delayed by an emergency. We will try to keep you informed of any delay and would appreciate your patience and understanding when this happens.

Initial login details can be obtained from the Practice reception. A form of personal identification may be required.

Once you have registered to use the online services, you will have access to making future requests online including booking and cancelling appointments and ordering your next repeat prescription.

Same Day Service – Telephone Triage

Walk-in Clinic

We provide a Walk-in Clinic  for acute medical problems and for patients who feel that they may need to be seen or supported that day. This is run on a first come first served basis and we open at 9am.  If you arrive late we cannot guarantee you will be seen.

The Same Day Service is provided by a team of experienced Duty Doctors and Duty Nurses, supported by a Healthcare Assistant.

Telephone Triage

If you phone an think yolur problem is urgent we will organise a phone call. Our Reception Teams will ask you for a brief summary of the problem or concern. This is to help them direct your call to the most appropriate person. All requests will be triaged by the Duty Doctor or Duty Nurse and they will telephone you back to discuss things further. If the Duty Doctor or Duty Nurse would like to see you, they will arrange for you to come down at a mutually convenient time.

Saturday and Sunday Appointments

Are you busy during the week? Would it be easier to be seen at the weekend. Through our partner practices we can offer appointments with Doctors and Nurses  on Saturday and Sunday. These clinics are pre-booked, routine appointments only. To book a weekend appointment with these surgeries please contact us on 0207 229 4578 during opening hours.
